ABOUT
THE CCE
The Richard E. Neal Cybersecurity Center of Excellence is Western Massachusetts' hub for cybersecurity training, education, and community resilience — located at historic Union Station in Springfield and operated by Springfield Technical Community College.
BUILT FOR
THE REGION
Not just a hub for students — a vibrant community resource designed to support local businesses, government agencies, and community members facing evolving cybersecurity challenges.
To empower students, businesses, municipalities, and community members to meet the challenges of an evolving threat landscape through hands-on training and accessible education.
6,000 square feet at Union Station: an Immersive Labs-powered cyber range, a student-staffed Security Operations Center, two 24-station classrooms, and a 52-person conference center.
Backed by $4.5M in federal investment and a consortium of partner colleges, the CCE serves the whole region — from first-time learners to seasoned practitioners.
The CCE opened its doors in 2024 and has served hundreds of students and community members since, with programming that grows every semester.
